Recently selected as one of TIME Magazine’s Next Generation Leaders, Shanghai / Paris-based designer Masha Ma presented her first-ever Pre-collection for the Spring/Summer 2016 season in Paris during Haute Couture Fashion Week from July 6th -10th at 14, rue du Chateau d’Eau 75010 Paris.
Published annually, the Next Generation Leaders is a list of the World’s 100 Most Influential People. Among the talents – Masha Ma is the only name from the fashion industry.
Masha Ma launches her resort line which echos her signature style – graphic geometric motifs, innovative cuts and textile research in a subdued color palette of grey, blue, black and white.
Inspired by antique Chinese porcelain, the fabrics and treatments used are a key focus in the collection: custom-made lace, brushed suede, laser-cut PU, hand-woven Swarovski crystals offer new points of view on the delicacy, wear and details of fine porcelain.
Just 29 years old, with plans of opening 100 stores worldwide during the next few years, Masha Ma is changing the signification of the label “Made in China”. Her brand represents the new high quality designs and craftsmanship in China today.
